Comfort, quality and great hospitality are a few words that come to mind when thinking of my recent stay at Ink48, a Kimpton hotel, in New York City.
Initially when I first booked my stay, i tried contacting the hotel with a few questions regarding my upcoming stay and I failed to hear back from them. I reached out to them via social media and was immediately put in touch with the manager who then put me in touch with the appropriate people. One very important aspect of social media is to put it to use effectively and Ian, over in their social media marketing team, definitely understands this. It’s also very rare for the manager of the establishment to reach out to you personally, especially since you haven’t even arrived at the establishment yet. Didier, the manager, made me feel welcomed and gave me peace of mind before even arriving. If you are looking for reasons to book here over the various different options NYC offers you, that should help make your decision much easier.
My stay in one of their King suites city view rooms was amazing. From the moment you walk in you notice the establishment is well maintained and the room was very spacious and modern. I loved that the shower and bathroom were separate. The room also had a jacuzzi which makes it perfect for those looking for a romantic and/or relaxing stay. The hotel also provides you with comfortable robes and if you forget basic necessities they will gladly provide them for you.
The hotel has Spa services in their second floor along with a rooftop lounge with beautiful views of the city. Everyone you encounter from the bell boy, to the front desk and the staff at the lounge are extremely friendly and helpful. I can’t emphasize enough, what a breath of fresh air that was for me especially in a city which isn’t really known for good customer service.
I definitely recommend you look into staying at Ink48 during your next visit to New York City! If you love your experience as much as i did, sign up for their Kimpton Karma rewards program to accumulate rewards every time you stay with them. I am definitely going to look into their other properties across the United States next time i travel domestically as well. You can put a price on amenities but great customer service is priceless!
