Stuffed Jalapeños wrapped in bacon

Last NYE, i needed some ideas on new snacks to make for a party and remembered having something similar to this a couple years ago for a Super Bowl party. My main focus was “what can I make that boys will love?”. Luckily, both boys and girls enjoyed it. Below I share the recipe I made. You can definitely change some ingredients according to your preference. Note* I LOVE spicy food, these can be spicy depending on the actual pepper. The ones I picked up turned out not being that spicy.

What you need
16-20 large jalapeño peppers
10oz low-fat cream cheese *or regular if you prefer*
8oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of black ground pepper
Some chopped cilantro to taste
2 lbs bacon *you can use turkey bacon as a healthier option*

Getting the magic started

1. Cut off the stem end of the jalapeños. Then, cut each one in half the long way, and then cut out the seeds from each. Keep the two halves of each pepper paired up for stuffing.
2. Mix the cream cheese, Mozzarella , salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cilantro in a small bowl. This will be your stuffing.
3. Put some of the cheese mixture inside each pepper half and press them together.
4. Wrap a strip or half strip of bacon around each Jalapeño and secure with toothpick (wrap the long way and it will keep the cheese inside better).
5.Place on flat pan, spray with Pam and bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

Once they are done, let them sit for about five minutes to cool off and then place them on a flat tray. Great finger food!

Very easy and delicious!
