The Waffle Spot in San Diego, CA
I have been to San Diego multiple times and had never even heard of “The Waffle Spot” until last spring. The Waffle Spot is located at “The Kings INN” on Hotel Circle S.
I am SO glad I ran into this spot. Their waffles are so delicious. I didn’t order the regular waffles for breakfast, instead I had the “Waffle Ranchero”. This breakfast plate had 2 mini waffles topped with 2 farm-fresh eggs and Ranchero sauce, & was served with my choice of country potatoes or hash browns. What made the waffles so delicious, in my opinion, was the crunchyness on the outside mixed with the softness and sweetness on the inside. The mix of eggs, sauce and the sweetness of the waffle was amazing. I am drooling as I type this.
I didn’t get to order any of the other plates because I wasn’t here very long but it’s definitely worth checking out on your next visit to San Diego. I went with 7 other people and they all enjoyed it as well. Prices average about $8.50 a plate and the portions are pretty big. If you stay at the Kings INN they give you a 10%off coupon.
