We often talk about fitting what you are traveling with on your carry-on bag and skipping out on a checked bag. It is simply the easiest way for us to travel and carry-on bags from Away and Raden have made it easier for frequent travelers to carry-on what they need. We have gotten a lot of e-mails from readers who want to know what are some of the beauty products we travel with. There are SO many products out there and so many different opinions, but we are all about simplicity and functionality. We constantly rotate products depending where we are going but the following products seem to always make it into our bags.
Spoiler Alert: they won’t break the bank!
1- Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector: As you know we travel to caribbean/beach destinations A LOT. So this BB cream is perfect for those trips. It is very light on the skin and has 0 oils, so it is perfect for hot weather. The BB cream blurs imperfections, brightens, evens skin tone, smoothes, hydrates, enhances and offers SPF 30. The price tag is just at $9
2-Garnier Skinactive Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes: they are very soft and hydrating on the skin. They remove dirt and makeup with just one towelette and they don’t dry out our skin. We have extra sensitive skin so anything that doesn’t irritate the skin is welcomed in our book! We rotate between these and the Simple brand towelettes. We love using these on the plane during a long flight and during vacation because regular water can be really harsh on the skin. Price tag: $6
3-E.l.f Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder St Lucia-We have medium olive and medium dark skin, so this is a favorite because it gives us a sun kissed glow! It is our favorite while on vacation because the last thing you want to worry about is doing a full face. The bronzer is super pigmented so a little goes a long way. Price tag: $4-$5
4-Wet N Wild’s Gold Highlighting Bar-like we said, simplicity is key for us while on vacation. This highlighting bar is all types of flame emojis! LOVE it, a little goes a long way and it goes perfectly with your sun kissed skin. Even if you don’t feel like putting anything else on your skin, just throwing this on will have you feeling fabulous. This was part of Wet N Wild’s holiday edition, so it might be hard for you to come by it, but if you do it is worth it! Price tag: when released it was less than $10 but now if you are lucky to come across it expect to pay $25+
5-Terracotta Joli Teint’ Healthy Glow Fluid Foundation SPF 20-another lightweight full coverage foundation! After a couple of days of spending some time in the sun, we love throwing this on because it is a darker shade. A little bit of product does a lot for our face. You won’t even feel you have foundation on. We love the coverage it provides. We only use this during vacations so it has lasted us a long time. Price tag: $39-$54
6-ArtNaturals Anti-Aging Vitamin-C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid-spending a lot of time in the sun can cause some damage on the skin. This serum is AMAZING! It helps minimize dark spots, sun spots and age spots plus it helps brighten your complexion. We use it before applying any make up on the skin. Make sure you apply it to your neck area as well. Price tag: $10-$12
We don’t buy most of our products in travel sizes. It is a waste of money, in our personal opinion. Instead, we put our favorite products in travel size tubes.
1. Olay Total Effects 7-In-One:this moisturizer helps smooths, evens tone, brightens, refines pores, targets age spots, restores firmness, and moisturizes. While on vacation you can put this on and go bare-face with a little bit of highlight,
Price tag: $12+
2.White Jade Aid Magic Gluthatione Mask Pack:this mask brightens your skin and gives it a radiant glow. It also helps with moisture retention along with elasticity. You can apply it during a long flight or after, depending what you are comfortable with. Price tag: $3 or $25 for a pack of 10.
3. Rosewater & Glycerin-Rosewater can be used as a toner but we use it for any skin irritation and to help moisturize our skin. Spray some during a long flight to help refresh your face, it will soak it right in. It is also great for sunburn, specifically on your face. Price tag: $10
4-Royal Black black tea & black rose hydrogel mask: with vitamins B2, C and E, this mask contains minerals magnesium, potassium, zinc and some essential oils. The ingredients help brighten your skin and aid in preventing premature aging and skin regeneration. Again, you can put it on during a long flight or during your vacation. Price tag: $4
5-Thayers witch hazel-rose petal alcohol-free with aloe vera: como se dice LOVE? Again, we have very sensitive skin so this is perfect because it is alcohol free, un-distilled and organic. We always carry some of this wherever we go on a travel spray bottle. We apply some with a cotton ball in the morning after washing our face and at night before bed. This product makes your pores smaller, tightens skin, cleanses, moisturizes, reduces inflammation, helps with glowing skin and even helps with sunburn. Price tag: $10
6-studio 35 beauty: hydrating sheet mask: a sheet mask with hyaluronic acid is a win in our book. Hyaluronic acid keeps collagen synthesis up and it retains skin moisture which is super important when you fly because planes suck up all the moisture from your skin. Hyaluronic acid also helps contribute to anti-aging. We often rotate the type of sheet masks we bring with us, but we definitely keep one with Hyaluronic Acid in our bag. Price tag: $3
Tip: There are monthly subscriptions that send you skin care products. We’ve been using Facetory since last year. They hand pick Korean sheet masks for you every month.
7-Vanilla Cocoa Facial Moisturizer: our face loves this organic face cream. It helps with wrinkles, it hydrates, rejuvenates, and heals your skin. We don’t have enough words to say how great this moisturizer has been for our skin. We usually put it on before a long flight and then throw on a second layer right after. Price tag: $10
These are just some products that constantly travel with us on our carry-on, which products accompany you?
