The answers to some of our prayers have now been answered. WOW Airlines just announced it will start flying to/from Los Angeles and San Francisco by next summer. The airline will be launching nonstop service from both cities to its main hub near Reykjavik, Iceland. Although they didn’t announce an exact date, tickets will begin to go on sale by the beginning of next year.
As we discussed on our previous article, WOW is currently available in the U.S out of Baltimore/Washington and Boston. The low cost carrier offers one way fares for as low as $99, making it more affordable to travel. It is important to note that although they charge for anything extra, including carry-on bags over 11 lbs, their fares still tend to be a great value.
I am excited to see what their prices out of these two new cities will be. I think it’s a matter of time before they add New York City to their list, speak it into existence right? Are you excited?
