LoungeBuddy: Your Next Best Friend

Not too many travelers know about airport lounges, even less have actually been to one. Airport lounges provide travelers a less crowded place to charge their phones, use wifi, have snacks and drinks and some even a place to shower. A lounge is a great option for those with long layovers or long trips.

There is a misconception that in order to access these, one must have an annual membership. While buying an annual membership might come in handy for the frequent traveler, it isn’t necessarily the best option for the casual traveler. There are also travelers who may already have access to these lounges based on elite status through an airline or through a credit card they own but just didn’t know about the extra benefits it provides. So how do travelers find out what airports allow them access to these lounges? What is the fee? What amenities do they provide?

The application “LoungeBuddy” allows you to find out which lounges are free and which give you access for a one time fee for the day. It allows you to enter your elite status, if any, and let’s you list any credit cards you may own to show you the access they may grant you. My absolute favorite feature is the option to filter by the amenity you are searching for. For example I searched for “free drinks”. In the example below, access to the Delta Airlines Sky Club is $50 but it gives me access to free beer and wine, wifi and snacks. It even allows me to use their showers and make copies. Depending on the type of layover you have $50 for all of genericambien.com that is a great deal! (Just calculate how much you would spend at the bar in a few hours to see what I mean)

I can’t wait for my next trip to put “Loungebuddy” to work for me. Download it before your next trip (It’s free on both Android & iOS) and let me know if you love it as much as I do!

Safe Travels!
