Runyon Canyon Park is the ideal place for a great workout and for city views. With three different hiking trails to choose from and resting spots along the way, this park is perfect for any day of the week. Runyon Canyon Park is located two blocks from Hollywood Blvd. It has three entrances; off of Fuller Avenue, Vista Street, and off Mulholland Drive. All three trails have areas that serve as watering spots in case you decide to bring along your furry friends. Please note that leashes are required in certain zones, so make sure to bring one with you.

All trails consist of either dirt or pavement, so it’s recommended you bring comfortable sneakers, preferably a pair you’re not too fond of. Most importantly, bring water, you don’t want to be caught midway up the hill without a source of water! Keep in mind that during the summer, the heat can get unbearable so if you are planning to visit Runyon, come early in the morning or later in the afternoon.

The East Trail, as viewed in this picture, consists of wooden steps and is a direct incline to the top.
